The Lost Hero is a forthcoming fantasy-adventure novel based on Greek mythology, written by author Rick Riordan. It is the first book in the series The Heroes of Olympus, the sequel to the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. It is set to be released on October 12, 2010.Riordan released the first two chapters and the book's cover on the series website.
